Board of Directors

Mr. Abbas D. Habib became Chairman of the Board of Directors of AL Habib Asset Management Limited in 2020. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank AL Habib Limited since 2016.

In 1991 with the inception of Bank AL Habib Limited, he became its Director and Joint Managing Director. On May 8, 1994 he assumed responsibilities as the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Bank and served in that position till October 31, 2016.

Mr. Abbas D. Habib is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan and a Director on the Board of Habib Insurance Company Limited.

He has to his credit a rich experience of over 40 years in commerce, industry and banking in local and international environment. He has held senior management positions with various organizations of the Habib Group and gained international banking experience while working with Habibsons Bank Limited, London, as Regional Director and later as Executive Director.

Mr. Mansoor Ali is director on the Board of AL Habib Asset Management Limited, presently working with Bank AL Habib Limited as Chief Executive Officer since November 1, 2016. He had been with the Bank since 1994 in various positions, including Zonal Head, Group Head, and Chief Operating Officer. He also serves as a Chairman/member of various Internal Committees of the Bank. Earlier, he served at various positions in Bank of Credit & Commerce International (Pakistan, Dubai-UAE, Yemen), from January 1985 to March 1992. Mr. Mansoor is a member of the Council of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. He has attended many courses/trainings including Directors’ Training Program from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), in January 2016. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Banking & Finance) and has a vast experience in commercial banking.

Mr. Saeed Allawala is the Chairman of Atco Laboratories Limited and Softronic Systems Private Limited, in addition he is member of Board of Directors of various reputable organizations. He holds Masters in Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. He is a seasoned businessman and has successfully concluded collaborations and joint ventures with many multinational companies from Europe, Australia & USA.

Mr. Imran Azim is MBA Finance and has more than thirty years of experience in Mutual Fund Industry. He served NIT from 1977 to 1998 where he worked in various departments including Investment, Marketing, Business Development, and Accounts. After leaving NIT he joined Khalid Majid Hussain Rehman, a Chartered Accountants firm and later on joined Universal Insurance Company Limited. He has also worked as Chief Executive Officer of Haroon Mills Limited. He was founding Director and Chief Executive of AL Habib Asset Management Limited and served the Company till April-2020.

Ms. Zarine Aziz is a former President of First Women Bank Ltd. She is a professional par excellence and a mission driven leader for the socio-economic development of women of Pakistan. During her career, she has also held key positions in Punjab, KPK & Federal Capital. She has a distinguished academic background, with Masters in Public Administration from University of Punjab, Lahore. Presently, Ms. Aziz is also serving on the Board of Governors of University of Health Sciences, Board of Director of Urban Sector Planning and Management Services Unit (Pvt) ltd., and Member National Executive Council Family Planning Association of Pakistan.

Mr. Kashif Rafi has vast experience expanding over 20 years in the field of Investments and Fund Management. He has worked on senior level positions with some of the top names in Asset Management Industry like MCB Arif Habib, ABL Asset Management & JS Investments. Prior to joining AL Habib Asset Management as CEO, he was associated with Bank AL Habib Limited with a primary task to acquire and run a successful asset management company from Bank AL Habib's platform. Mr. Kashif holds an MBA in Finance from IBA and currently serving as Director on the Board of Mutual Fund Association of Pakistan. He has also served as an Executive Committee Member of the Financial Markets Association of Pakistan.
